Best way to get to New York City from Brooklyn Port

Grimaldi’s? I doubt you can find bad pizza in Brooklyn.

I can find bad pizza in Brooklyn...in a place that has a storied reputation for pizza. You couldn't pay me to go to L&B Spumoni Gardens because their specialty is thick-crusted, doughy square Sicilian pizza. To me pizza should be thin-crusted.

As always personal preference is important when discussing food .

I believe that Grimaldi's doesn't sell pizza by the slice so you have to buy a whole pie to try their product.

I used to agree about the thin crust, but as I get older, I find I really enjoy a grandma/nonna pie (not to be confused with Sicilian). The slices from pizzerias that sell by the slice tend to be thicker, some places by me sell slice pies (the ones they sell by the slice).

so those who grew up in NYC;  who makes the best pizza?  I plan on having a pizza war when I visit.  Thanks.

Besides the recommendations you've already received, I wanted to give you this link to another NY pizza discussion in this forum a few months ago:
