Haven’t stayed there but.... location wise it’s close to the Manhattan Cruiseport.  Not much in the neighborhood.  It’s a 4 avenue walk to the Times Square area - about 12 streets.

Thanks 138east, I’m a former New Yorker familiar with the area not the Holiday Inn. We are just flying in the night before for our cruise, mabe a Circle Line tour, or Entriped visit. so the west side will be convenient for us. Looking into the Novotel on West 53rd St. also.

Has anybody stayed at this hotel and what were your impressions.

There's also a Comfort Inn at 548 W. 48th St. that's adjacent to the HIE.

My son and daughter-in-law stayed at the Comfort Inn and said it was fine for a 1 night stay.

I stayed here before our last Breakaway Cruise.  Actually a decent standard size hotel room given it's Manhattan and you expect smaller.  Breakfast area can be crowded but hey - you are in Manhattan go get a bagel!

Although there is not much on the block just walk to 10th ave and turn right and there are many restaurants. Across the street is a place for basic groceries and across and left a few steps is a chinese take out place. Also walk around the block to 47th St and find The Jolly Goat for good coffee and breakfast.

The walk to the port is super easy if you can handle your luggage without assistance - half block (past the Comfort Inn), cross 11th Ave (Kimpton Hotel at that corner), and one block to 12th Ave.  Cross and you are there.  5 minute walk.

This hotel was super accommodating to us and a small crowd when the Breakaway was delayed returning to NYC and our boarding was pushed back all the way to midnight,  We hung out in the breakfast area making new friends for the cruise and coordinating messages across many people trying to figure out how best to handle the situation.  We got Chinese Take out and made a mess but cleaned it up.  I can't say enough about how nice the hotel staff and management were to us.
