helensobol Posted April 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2019 I'm curious if people have or do try to bring on soda, water, wine on the 2nd departure port. I know we can bring the allowed amounts in San Juan but I'm wondering if someone was able to grab more soda when we dock in Barbados. I normally bring juice boxes for my daughter and it would be a nice option to replenish if I could.
h_blond2 Posted April 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2019 You won't be able to take any alcohol to your room, but you can definitely bring soda, water, etc. We always bring a few bottles of soda back on with us.
Schoifmom Posted April 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2019 You can bring additional non-alcoholic drinks on at EVERY port. Anything with alcohol will be taken and held until the end of the cruise.

Last time I cruised (awhile ago) I had six PET-plastic bottles of Ginger Ale in my checked luggage and I received them at the cabin in my luggage - but things may have changed by now? I have taken plastic bottles of soda and tea back on the ship from various ports for years. Most recently was in May of last year. You are no longer allowed to take bottles on board at the home port.
