jlnprt Posted April 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2019 On our two previous HAL cruises, I was able to choose whether to have the beds together or separate, list that dh is bringing a cpap machine, etc., right on the website. That information was listed as one of the first things when I clicked on the booking number. It just occurred to me that I haven't seen those choices for our upcoming cruise. Where do I find where those choices are? Am I looking in the wrong place or have I lost my mind? Thanks!
canadianbear Posted April 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2019 I think the website is not as user friendly these days! Hopefully someone can guide you through. If you booked with HAL or a TA, I’d get them to do it for you.
towhee Posted April 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2019 If all else fails, you can ask your steward to reconfigure the beds when s/he introduces themselves.
wyobean Posted April 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2019 Not a big deal. On one of our cruises the beds were configured as twins instead of our requested king. We just asked and it was changed when we came back,
jlnprt Posted April 13, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted April 13, 2019 I'm sure it's not a big deal ... I will call our TA. I just thought I was going crazy because I know those options were available on the website for our other two HAL cruises. Thanks!
Rare *Miss G* Posted April 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2019 It’s on your booking confirmation. I don’t recall seeing it online. But I have been known to be oblivious at times. 😳
catl331 Posted April 13, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2019 We usually ask that the bed be split and it is usually not done when we first enter the room. Ask your steward when you first see him.

As a solo I like the beds split so I can use the vacant one to lay out my clothes for the next day or whatever. I had been chasing down my room steward to split them when I boarded, but then I had to wait to unpack - so I started asking my TA to list it for me. Worked like a charm & saved some time for the steward.
ScottC4746 Posted April 14, 2019 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2019 My only issue with beds together is you feel a rut down the middle of the bed. I have experienced this on Royal and HAL it is just the nature of the beast of having beds shoved together.
