Casinos at Sea: Extremely busy Mon morning

From my indirect source - luckily they called in last week & booked their land-based offers (from the NE),  expiring/deadline to book via CAS is tomorrow 4/23 @ 21:00 EDT ...  Wait time typical, not too bad - cancel & moved one booking, hold time was 20+ minutes mid-week then but even longer last Friday when friends called in again, after holding out for possible tax day "sale".  Last minute bargain hunters flooding their lines ??

I hope they haven't cut staff!  I don't have just one CAS agent who has booked for me, but I've found so many of them to be super nice and helpful.     Does anyone know for sure if some of the agents are gone?  If so, can you tell us the first names?

I always experience long wait times when contacting CAS. And I have also noticed that the staff answering the phone there aren't the friendliest NCL employ's...

They used to have some really knowledgeable and friendly employees but lately the few I've gotten recently (minus Tim so is the best and I hope never leaves) have not only been rude and sound like they'd rather be anywhere else, but they've been misinformed and give out wrong information. I've also discovered that they don't even know how to properly look at your play to offer you a cruise. They only look to see if you have any casino offers and if not offer you the 10% or 20% discount. When I call and speak to Tim, however, he's able to look at my play and offer me a comp. They need some training, fast.

I booked with Antoinette (new name to me) in late February.  She was super nice and offered me a MiniSuite.  I asked for a large balcony  so she checked with a supervisor to get me in a M6 or B1.     Not sure if she is new, but she was nice to me.

I always call with a specific cruise or two to check on plus I have a room number I've checked as available thru NCL website.

I always call the corportate office one. Not the other number b/c you get a call center and they are not as knowlegable as the corporate people. I have used alan at corporate for years and he is great. always looks at my play and tells me what comps I have for a cabin. Corporate is only there m-f  9-5. otherwise you get the call center.

its a 954 area code with his direct number

Yes, I have a couple of their direct numbers that start with 954.  I usually just call the 877 to get to someone faster.  If they don't seem 'helpful', I wait and call the next day or dial someone direct.

It's probably because you are calling on a Monday morning. 🙂

My land based casinos give out their "free" cruises on a weekend, Saturday mainly, so people have to wait until Monday morning to call. Also people who have no time during the week and spend their weekend doing cruise research then have to call in Monday morning to book/rebook/etc.
