taylortime05 Posted May 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2019 Hi, I had a prior post trying to decide which flight home I should take and appreciated everyone's feedback. We were able to get our flight changed to leave Barcelona at 11:05 AM and arrive in DTW at 6:22 PM with 1 h 50 min layover in Amsterdam. 1st Flight is KLM and 2nd is Delta. Our cruise is scheduled to arrive in Barcelona at 6:00 am. I have a couple of questions. Is it worth getting transfers from the cruise or should we just take a cab? Should we disembark where we take our own luggage? Thanks
CruiserBruce Posted May 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2019 I would take a cab. I am not sure the cruise line will sell you transfers for that early a flight. Yes, I would suggest carrying your own bags off.

But I wonder if a cab is faster since I don't need to wait for a van to be filled.
hallasm Posted May 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2019 You’ll have plenty of time - if you disembark between 8 and 9 you should be at the airport well in time for a 11:05 KLM flight. I would personally take a cab rather than a shuttle. Taxi should be in the order of €40 and shoot take more than 30 minutes.
klfrodo Posted May 3, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2019 Guaranteed there will be a line of cabs for you to use when you exit the terminal. It's about a 20 minute ride, but the lines to checkin at the airport could be substantial (unless you have some elite status or business/first).
