slippers and robes?

Hi all urgent help needed as packing.  Do balcony cabins still come with slippers and robes?

Robes yes.    Slippers- not that I have ever seen.

What is a "standard balcony"?

We have never sailed HAL and on the Rotterdam (which we booked for February), there are only Lanai cabins and Balcony suites.

A standard balcony cabin is called a veranda cabin. Larger balcony cabins are called Vista Suite or Signature suite. These "suites" don't come with a lot of perks. We were in a Vista on one of the smaller ships a number of years ago and I can't recall if we got slippers. Neptune Suites include slippers, but sometimes you have to ask.

ms Rotterdam has the following Suites (all with balcony and t.m.k. slippers😞 Vista suites, Vista Spa suites, Neptune and Pinnacle Suites.

You get double Mariner days, and IIRC, a telephone concierge. I didn't get much out of the telephone concierge. They usually just transferred me to the front desk.

 

I think HAL started calling the balcony cabins on the smaller ships "suites" and giving double mariner days to help justify the high price. The thing is, there aren't a lot of balcony cabins on those ships, and HAL is charging premium prices for them compared to the variety of balconies on the large suites. The Vista suites on Rotterdam are a nice size, but not huge. The Neptune suites are very large, with nice big balconies. But they're expensive!

Go a day early to your departure port and stay in a good hotel and you probably will get a pair slippers you can take with you.   Will be less expensive than booking a signature suite to get the slippers.   Hope you have a sense of humour.  LOL

VOV last summer in a Vista Suite 39 days on the Rotterdam, no slippers. 🙂

Politely asked and received slippers on our last cruise, basic balcony cabin.

Robes are included in all the staterooms. The Spa staterooms do include slippers.

Or go to a Walgreens and buy a pair of slippers for $10, much cheaper than the hotel room, LOL. The good hotel might just charge you for the slippers you took with you, 🤑
