GuardCruisers Posted May 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Off the ship yesterday in Seattle. All in all, it was a great trip! Ship is in good repair, food was fine, service from all staff we interacted with was excellent, and we had PLENTY of butter at every single meal! Thank you, Princess!

What movies were they showing on deck during your cruise? What type of “guests” did they have for entertainment?
JMann404 Posted May 28, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2019 We were looking forward to the Meet and Mingle but could not find any information. Searched the daily schedule. Did we miss it?
kruisey Posted May 28, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2019 I would also be interested in what the CD and Entertainment was like?

YEG Cruizr 68 Posted June 3, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 3, 2019 We were also on this voyage. The CD is Matt Baker and he's quite engaging with the passengers. He parked himself at the gangway all morning playing his ukelele and harmonica as we all disembarked. Captain Manfuso just took over as Master of the Ship on this voyage, so we didn't get to see/hear Captain Tuvo and his signature "Bye-bye" at the end of his announcements. The ship was full of new Princess cruisers (over 2,000), which seems to be typical for these Alaska voyages. There were plenty of activities listed in the Patter, but I suspect that since we're still early in the Alaska season, things are being worked out as there are some staffing changes. For example, on our voyage there was no Voice of the Ocean competition, but on the one coming up there is (we watched the first Wake Show being recorded on our last sea day). The dancers just joined the ship on May 19, so they were still working out their routines on this ship's stages (overhead the CD talking to some fellow passengers about this). Movies shown during this trip: Aquaman, Mary Poppins Returns, Christopher Robin, Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, to name a few. There were also a bunch of movies playing on the stateroom TV, but it wasn't on-demand, so we never timed it right to catch any of those movies from beginning to end.

Someone on the Roll Call volunteers to organize it, contact the rep at Princess who arranges the room and then it's "advertised" in the Roll Call before you sail. If you were on the Roll Call and someone organized a M & G, you would have known about it. If it wasn't mentioned, it wasn't held.
Rare donswife Posted June 4, 2019 #12 Share Posted June 4, 2019 Matt Baker had just joined the ship when we went on the 3 day from L.A. He is super personable, and in addition to his music skills, he has something like 50 pairs of eyeglass frames!
FTBLCOACH Posted June 4, 2019 #13 Share Posted June 4, 2019 (edited) We spent time talking with Matt about the absence of Voice of the Ocean. Because the singers/dancers just got on board, there wasn't going to be adequate rehearsal time available for the Voice finale...too much going on. Ditto for the lack of "British Invasion" production show as well. One thing that was superb on the cruise was a Princess Theater back stage tour on the final day as "Motor City" was being presented in the Vista Lounge. We were able to visit the dressing rooms with one of the dancers, had the back stage operations and equipment explained to us by the equipment gang, and had the "marks" on stage (which we can't see from the audience) explained to us by the choreographer. This is only the second time I've seen this tour available (no charge) and it was excellent. Edited June 4, 2019 by FTBLCOACH
