???  I did not value 2 perks enough to pay $1,000 for them.  Much cheaper to do pay as I go.  The problem with the "perks" is that they charge you for 2 people for each one even if you're sailing solo.  Total ripoff.

once onboard you can try to book as a single.  Should not be a problem.  Speak to CSR.

I wouldn't value 2 perks at half that price.  Much cheaper for me to pay as I go.

Depends.  For example, I have two cups of cappuccino (with extra shots) before noon, at least two bottles of water.  After noon, maybe two cocktails , more water, coffee and soft drink.   Pre dinner one cocktail at the Martini bar- and a glass of wine with dinner- at the show and after dinner perhaps another Martini- premium only, and water .  So the upgrade no problem.  One year, I was on medication, and not allowed any alcohol, but still found the package worthwhile.

While I can get a couple of free drinks being elite plus, I do not want to necessarily have when they are "free".  We work all year and enjoy the opportunity to enjoy what we want and when we want it.  As I say all of the time, people spend money the way they want to- some like expensive shore Xs, go to the casino, might overpay and buy cruise merchandise- etc.  We also like the freedom to stay connected while on the ship as we have a large family

Yes, it depends.  For me, I get free internet and free coffee in Bacio.  I don't drink alcohol and I am perfectly fine with drinking the ship's reverse osmosis water.  It's what I drink at home.  So for me, it makes no sense.  That's why there is never a one-size-fits-all answer to any of these questions.
