Rare Scrapnana Posted July 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2019 A busy start for the month of July with five ships in port. Eurodam will be at the AS dock from 1300-2300 and Nieuw Amsterdam will be at the CT dock from 1300-2200. Also in port are Viking Orion tendering from 0800-1630, Ruby Princess at the FKL dock from 1100-2215, and Solstice at the AJ dock from 1330-2200. The nice weather continues and the prediction is that it will last through the week. The afternoon should be mostly sunny with a high of 76F/24C and a low of 55F/13C. Sunrise is at 3:57 am and sunset at 10:06 pm. The PTZtv webcam can be found at https://www.juneauharborwebcam.com/. Next up: Oosterdam on Tuesday. Happily@Sea Posted July 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2019 Are we sure this is Juneau Alaska with theses weather reports? Doesn''t sound normal. I plan to be here anyway - even if it is sunny and warm.

Happily@Sea Posted July 1, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 1, 2019 The dreadful panning is going on. Eurodam has just entered the channel. X Solstice is next but not close to Eurodam - still well short of Grand Island. Nieuw Amsterdam is waaaaaaaay behind, but not much behind X. Happily@Sea Posted July 1, 2019 #9 Share Posted July 1, 2019 Eurodam is barely moving - 1.4 k - maybe waiting for the 2 behind to catch up. 😜

When I first used the AIS - it was right up to date. I didn't think we would have problems in the Channel and didn't even notice the time discrepancy. Rare rafinmd Posted July 1, 2019 #15 Share Posted July 1, 2019 Well, still panning and I'm in the fire house. I'm going to try to make it home before Eurodam arrives. Roy
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 1, 2019 #16 Share Posted July 1, 2019 Sorry I am missing the arrival of Eurodam and Nieuw Ansterdam in Juneau today. We are enjoying a beautiful day outside before we get more rainy days -- maybe 6 in a row.
