The QV has a mainly red theatre and the QE a blue one.

There are different shades of brown/gold in the main atrium.

Both are Vista Class ships and are identical to all intents and purposes.

Thank you BigMac for responding to my question.  Fair winds and following seas.

What's the main difference between Curnard's ships Elizabeth and Victoria.  Thank you

The Queen Victoria is the older of the two ships, the Q.E have more out door sporting facilities  including a bowling green on the top deck, overall in doors both are just the same. We love both ships but find the crew on the Q.V. just slightly more friendly.

But whichever one you choose I am sure you will enjoy.🍷🥃

Thanks luckymal for your quick and positive response, I am booked on the Queen Elizabeth on an Alaska cruise, I don't know why I am going to Alaska because I can see fjords, moose, icebergs, caribou and bears in my backyard here in Newfoundland and Labrador.

QV used to have a stepped stern but the bean counters figured out how many more staterooms could be added if they welded QE's bustle onto the back. Now they're hard to tell apart at a casual glance (I understand there's some difference at the front of the superstructure, but I wouldn't be able to describe the difference to you...).

Fair comment, but back home can you leave your towels on the bathroom floor, and when you come back from dinner, all towels gone a clean ones on the rails.🍷🥃

The Crew  ! don't get me started on the QE ( disembarked the other day) The QE (IMO) is a ship without a soul, give me Q Victoria any day  😉 She has always been known as a happy ship .

Now I am disappointed as I am booked on the Queen Elizabeth heading to Alaska.  Where did you travel?

Just disembarked from an Alaska Trip which was wonderful ,  I'm sure you'll still enjoy QE.  Perhaps I'm being a bit unfair to the QE, it's just that I'm a seasoned Cunard traveller and I guess we all have our favourites. The majority of the crew on Q. Vic are from the old days of QE2  , although ,some of these are now having to rotate across the Cunard fleet.

Did you leave from Vancouver and what ports did you visit.

No need to be disappointed. We prefer the QE over the QV and always have done.

One wonderful waitress we had on the QV moved over to the QE when she was launched.

I can understand some people preferring the QV over the QE when it had the original  Chart Room but that room is now Britannia Club dining the same as the QE.

We just got back from the Vancouver-Ketchikan-Juno-Skagway-Icy Straight-Hubbard Glacier-Sitka-Victoria-Vancouver loop and very much enjoyed it. I found that all the staff were very pleasant and we were very pleased with our cruise. I'm sure you will have a very good cruise.

I wouldn't be disappointed if I were you. I had 12 days on Queen Elizabeth in March this year and thought it wonderful. The staff, almost without exception, were very good; the ship was spotlessly clean; the food very good-excellent. I have travelled on Queen Mary and the QE stands up to the comparison. I haven't sailed on Queen Victoria so can't compare but you have every reason to be excited about your trip!

Obviously I'm a mere novice in these matters, and certainly would never dare describe myself as seasoned, but nonetheless I have been on both ships several times. I actually marginally prefer the QE, and have rarely received anything but excellent and agreeable service on either ship.

Each to his/her own, as I posted "In my opinion".

Yes, Vancouver return to Vancouver, the same itinerary as 'Kmerlin14' has posted above. The highlight of the trip was the Hubbard Glacier and the White Pass railway.
