63 Super Sport Posted August 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2019 (edited) I would like information on how folks handle invitations to officers for the M&G. Any sample invitations would be appreciated. Thanks Edited August 15, 2019 by 63 Super Sport

Rare azbirdmom Posted August 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2019 I invited officers one time when I coordinated a Meet & Greet. I made a lot of copies of an invitation with the details of the event and blank space at the top. When we boarded I found the photos board of the officers and hand-wrote the names of each officer onto each invitation. Then I handed the pile of invites to Passenger Services and then ensured that they were distributed to the appropriate individuals. We had a fairly decent turnout of officers at our event! riffatsea Posted August 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2019 (edited) I arranged this on our Panama Canal cruise. I bought some invitations and just filled in time and place and a short sentence or 2 saying we looked forward to seeing them at our meet n greet. We really would appreciate them taking the time to come and talk to us. The exact words don't matter!! I think the list of names of officers were also in the daily newsletter we got when we came on board. I handed the invitations to guest services the day we embarked. Colo Cruiser Posted August 16, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2019 I agree I would wait until you are onboard as the names can change.

famski740 Posted August 16, 2019 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Agree with all the recommendations to deliver them to the Guest Services Desk on the first day. On our Ruby Princess 09 cruise, we had about 60 people attend the Meet and Greet and more then half a dozen officers showed up including the Captain, Hotel Manager, Drinks Manager, Entertainment Director and the likes. Alaskanb Posted August 16, 2019 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2019 I buy blank notecards and create an insert that I glue in with something like this https://www.amazon.com/Elmers-Craftbond-Permanent-Runner-E4006/dp/B004DNX6O2/ref=sr_1_17?keywords=glue+runner&qid=1565965758&s=gateway&sr=8-17 I have officer titles, and a cruise critic one with my cabin number, on address labels to stick onto the envelopes. I also add a sticker with a nautical image so that it stands out. My handwriting is atrocious so find it best to take an impersonal route! I put them in my carry-on bag so I'm not digging around for them when we embark; they are then ready for immediate delivery to the passenger service desk.
