nini Posted August 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2019 I know she is getting older, but how do you feel about the ship? The Crown is actively scheduled where we really want to go in the next few years with itineraries we like. Darn... wish it was the Regal Thanks! dreaminofcruisin Posted August 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Not sure if you call it 'recent', but we were on the Crown a year ago.... It remains our FAVORITE ship! I actually have the Regal booked for next year.....I am saying 'darn....wish it was the Crown' 🤣
terrysko2000 Posted August 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2019 WE have sailed on her the past two years. We really like her and would go again.
MissP22 Posted August 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2019 While we prefer the Royal class ships over all the other Princess ships we sailed the Crown last Feb/March & found it to be in great shape. They've definitely keep up with the maintenance & improvements over the years. In the food dept. we also though it was very impressive over some of the other ships. (ie Caribbean Princess). We still prefer the Royal class ships for food selections but the Crown still remains among the top ships for the Horizon court and DR food offerings in both prep and service. Unless your extremely critical about everything, I doubt if you'll be disappointed.
Rare Denmal Posted August 16, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2019 We were on the crown twice this year. It continues to be one of our favorite ships. Love the itineraries it does and the staff
EllieinNJ Posted August 16, 2019 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2019 We will be on the Crown August 29th and am disappointed with the many negative reviews it's getting for the British Isles. Hope my fears become unfounded.
Qcruise Posted August 16, 2019 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2019 We sailed her in Feb 2018 to the Caribbean ABC's and loved the ship.....no issues for us.

Tatka Posted August 16, 2019 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2019 We are sailing on her for New Year 10 dayer to Southern Caribbeans. Just booked! We will probably miss seafood selections of Royal in buffets and huge Piazza, but looking forward to better pool setups.

As much as I liked beautiful Royal it is better two have 4 pool areas with various purposes vs 2. Royal Princess 2) Adult Pool Crown Princess (sister to Ruby and Caribbean which we sailed on) 1) Neptune Reef 2) Calypso 3) Aft Terrace Pool 4) Lotus Spa pool Royal Princess probably worked better for our last New Year celebrations in both Piazza and Lido deck dancing, but on other days forward adult pool was too windy in some reason and 4 felt less crowded.
imsailin Posted August 16, 2019 #12 Share Posted August 16, 2019 We have sailed the Crown three times in 11 months including the British Isles. No complaints at all - we love the Crown. Enjoy her!
