Houndfish Posted August 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2019 (edited) Has anyone been to Mahahual while 2 ships are in port? What is the taxi wait and street scene like? Edited August 23, 2019 by Houndfish

Once you find your way out of the port never had any difficulty getting a taxi to the malecon.
Rare crewsweeper Posted August 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2019 Costa Maya pier used to be able to handle, and often had, 3 ships in port. Being expanded to handle 6 ships. Most people take a tram from the port to the malecon. Taxi stand just a little further away. There are a couple of taxi stands along the malecon (one at Calle Sierra and one further down by the fishing pier, as I recall. But beach clubs will gladly call one for you. Should not be an issue. Kate P.C Posted August 24, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2019 Yes we have, with more then 2 ships. There are so many taxis out of the port and we didn't wait at all. All charge just $8 one way trip to the beaches or downtown.
Rare mitsugirly Posted August 24, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2019 We were just there 2 weeks ago with 3 ships in port and there were taxi's and the shuttle bus waiting and it didn't seem too crowded.
