FLL to Holiday Inn at Miami Port-Best method to get there?

Hi, 

 

I will be arriving at the FLL airport with my wife and two teenage sons in the first week of March. What would be the least expensive method to get to the Holiday Inn at Port Miami? We want an easy ride that isn't too expensive. I am considering Uber/Lyft. How does that compare to a taxi ride?

For 4 plus bags you will need UberXL or a van/SUV taxi. Fare for either will be about $70-75. My guess is that you will have a cleaner, nicer ride by using Uber or Lyft. Your call!

Note that if you are arriving later in the day, after about 2:00 or so, when most of the cruisers are already at the port and the shuttle company will have trouble filling the van your per person fare will likely be higher than $15 per person.

I don't think a shuttle is running from FLL to Downtown Miami hotel anyway. 

 

Uber/Lyft is the way to go it will be around the same cost of a taxi but much better service and you can't be "taken for a ride." You'll need an Uber/Lyft XL for four people and four large bags.
