Can anyone who has had both of these explain the difference between... a balcony cabin, and a "deluxe" balcony cabin.?? I cant seem to find anything about the deluxe cabin. I need to decide for a cruise on the Regal Princess in March. 🤔

On the Royal Class ships, which includes Regal, the Deluxe Balcony has a loveseat and is a bit bigger (longer) than a balcony cabin. A balcony cabin will have a desk chair and may/may not include an additional chair within the room. If you look carefully at the deck plans for Regal, you can see that bit of additional cabin length shows.

Look at this link from the Princess website; scroll down just a little to “Accommodations” and you can see photos and layouts of both types of cabins.

Yes, there is a couch in Deluxe Balcony cabins, hence the comment that you get a couch.

Deluxe Balcony is a cabin category, separate from Balcony. And only found on Royal class ships

Premium refers to location, and is the same regardless..you can have Premium Balcony or Premium Deluxe Balcony, Premium referring to "premium" locations..

Deluxe Balcony has a small loveseat sofa and is slightly larger overall, but has slightly less storage - you lose the small shelving at the end of the mini-fridge area, as the mini-fridge is incorporated into the desk area.

Deluxe balcony only found on Royal class ships, or which Regal is one (Majestic, Sky, Enchanted and Discovery are the others).

One other difference. The loveseat converts to a single bed, in a balcony cabin the third bed if needed pulls down from the ceiling. If a 4th bed is needed, it pulls down from the ceiling in both type cabins. Important for us “old” folks.

On Royal class ships you do get a love seat in a Deluxe Balcony. On other classes of Princess ships you "may" get a second chair. Otherwise they just consider it to be a "better" location even though you might not agree.
