Norwegian Cruiser 73 Posted October 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Good evening from Norway, My latest YouTube film is out, this time from our Yacht Club cruise on the MSC Preziosa from Guadelope in February. Tune in to get an impression from the beautiful Antilles 😀
Rare Captain-John Posted October 15, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) Great video, and advert for Preziosa! This time last week, I was sitting in the TSL on her and your 'atmosphere' clips made me yearn to be there again. Thanks 🙂 (and yes, I watched at x2 speed hence my post was made in a timeframe shorter than the video!🤣) Edited October 15, 2019 by Captain-John
Norwegian Cruiser 73 Posted October 17, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted October 17, 2019 Thank you @Captain-John, I'm glad you liked it. TSL is the place to be 👍
Fogfog Posted October 17, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2019 TY for this We are just recently looking at Preziosa for sailing. How did it work out with the dining room being separate from YC?
Rare Captain-John Posted October 18, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2019 Not the OP, but for me it was a pain having the dining room separate from the YC - not because of the long walk (either outside, or all the way down to deck 7 and back up again to stay inside), but because the butlers insist on escorting you there every evening. Just something we didn't need or want yet it was still almost forced on us despite me saying multiple times it wasn't necessary. The dining room is also on the small side so you may not always get the time you want (although we never waited more than 5 minutes for a table in fairness).

Our experience was totally different, escorted by a butler on boarding day (boarded at 10.30am in Barbados) to YC restaurant for lunch and he simply asked us to affirm we could make our own way from then on....we did so, and the butler never insisted on escorting us anywhere whilst ascertaining his availability by phone or concierge request. We interacted with him more or less on a daily basis, mainly in TSL or OPD. 1
Norwegian Cruiser 73 Posted October 18, 2019 Author #7 Share Posted October 18, 2019 We had exactly the same experience as @hamrag on the MSC Preziosa, so the butler escort service every night must be a new "service" they have started with on the Fantasia Class. @Fogfog it works perfectly fine for us walking from the YC enclave to the YC restaurant. In good weather its great to walk on the open deck to the restaurant. Or take the elevator down to deck 7 and walk through the ship to the aft and then take the elevator to deck 14 where the restaurant is located. Originally this venue on the Fantasia Class was planned as a speciality restaurant, hence the awkward location. When we had our first cruise on the Fantasia, back in 2010 we had a speciality restaurant dinner there. The YC had a section in the MDR.
Zephyr173 Posted October 19, 2019 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2019 The restaurant is on deck 15. So you can simply step out of YC and walk outside. On port side as there is only 1 door to get back inside at the aft of the ship, being port just behind the bar.
