HMC redo ???

We read that HMC is building an actual dock for ships.  Does anybody know when and if they've started building? Just wondering if it is a LONGGGGG term project like years out before it's finished.    Looking forward to docking when we go.

I have not heard of it starting.  I will be there in teo weeks and will be better able to answer after I am there a week from next Saturday.

Building a dock for a ship would be a guest friendly move.  But, given the layout of the island, I can't imagine where such could be done.

There are rumors that Carnival is planning on building roller coasters and a full amusement park on HMC.

Looking back to when RCI announced their docks being built on both of their private islands, it was a couple years from announcement to completion.

It will be months or years before a dock will be completed. I understand there are other expansion/enhancements in the works as well.  As for the roller coaster....I doubt it.

Besides the dock I believe dredging will be necessary.

If it's true it sounds  it well be  long time before it's finished. I kind of like it as is right now, but I guess you can't stop progress.

I kinda like the way it used to be, before Capt Morgan's and the 2-story villas.  More "progress" .

Capt. Morgans is kind of different, but it can't hold a candle to the "I Could Stay Here Forever" bar, in my opinion.
