Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted November 20, 2019 #26 Share Posted November 20, 2019 Yes, it's really bad this morning. Yesterday was fairly clear - at least where we live. Tomorrow could also be smoky but it's supposed to clear after that. The big fires are still burning right up the coast but Sydney is only copping the smoke when the winds are in the wrong direction. Some of the coastal towns have been blanketed in smoke for a couple of weeks or more.

Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted November 20, 2019 #28 Share Posted November 20, 2019 The smoke haze has lifted a bit now as the wind has increased. It's still bad though. Definitely a day to stay indoors, although explaining that to my cat is almost impossible.

Would it be worth seeing if you could get an anti-pollution face mask?

The dust combined with the extreme pollen count is not ideal for those with asthma and hayfever. Leigh
