Freedom Class Decks 10-11 Spacing

On Royal Caribbean Freedom Class ships, the spacing between decks 10 and 11 is significantly greater than between most other decks.   Is this extra space required because of the pool equipment?

On all decks, the "ceiling" of your room is NOT the floor of the deck above you.  You are likely to hear occasional scraping or thumping from above.  It's not continuous or anything, but you do get fleeting sounds.

Just count the stairs between decks and you will see what I meant.

The extra space is for any number of different mechanical reasons the pools being one of them. There are other decks that also have more space between them.

Suites are also on deck 9 on Voyager/Freedom classes.

Just be aware that some of the scraping/bumping noise is less "fleeting"  than others.  For instance,  noise from the food carts used in setting up the Windjammer/Buffet at 4-5 am are not so fleeting".  Just FYI.
