blueridgemama Posted December 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Hi all. I am going on our first Oasis class (Oasis of the Seas) in February and plan to do just one specialty restaurant. Our choices are: Chops 150 Central Park Giovannis Table Izumi Habachi Chefs Table We like all kinds of food and have no allergies. Which would you recommend the most as far as overall best food and experience?
Clarea Posted December 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I'd go with Giovanni's, if it is still on Oasis.
AshleyDillo Posted December 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I second Giovannis. I did all of them but Chef's Table on Oasis recently and Giovannis was hands down the best experience I had.
CORKY_Q Posted December 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I'm going to go against the crowd. Lady Di and I especially enjoy Izumi Hibachi. However, whichever you choose, we enjoy them all. Enjoy your cruise. Sea ya!

BNBR Posted December 5, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Can't go wrong with any of them. Hibachi might be the most unique if you have never been to a teppanyaki restaurant before. We really enjoyed 150 Central Park. But we would eat at any of their specialty restaurants again.

jalves Posted December 5, 2019 #8 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Our choice would be Giovannis. We've had service issues in Chops and the food offerings in 150 Park weren't really interesting for us.
Rare John&LaLa Posted December 6, 2019 #9 Share Posted December 6, 2019 Izumi Hibachi hands down. Dinner and a show😉 Plus you really get to interact with your tablemates. It's a fun night out. The rest are just food.
Rare LMaxwell Posted December 6, 2019 #10 Share Posted December 6, 2019 Really liked the food at 150 CP. Felt it stood out from the rest in quality and presentation. Genuinely impressed and looking forward to again. Giovanni's and Chops have been hit or miss for us; sometimes great, sometimes not worth paying a cent. sdrocks Posted December 6, 2019 #13 Share Posted December 6, 2019 Giovannis first, Chops second. Personally think 150 Central Parks menu very limited & not all that delicious. Just my opinion

Aww...we interact with other pax at Chef's Table. 😉 Speaking of which...where is it on Harmony? Happy to see them take it out of the CK/SL area on that updated ship. Did not like that location on Oasis....did not use.
Rare island lady Posted December 7, 2019 #16 Share Posted December 7, 2019 We like 150 on Oasis class ships...since we don't find it on the smaller ships...nice to have a change. 🙂

Set up in the middle of the room between the open area of Coastal Kitchen and Suites Lounge. Very exposed, noise level not great for listening to Chef talk before each course. Prefer set up like Radiance class ship, dining room is dedicated for just Chef's table (kind of like a company board room). Much more elegant. We have done Chefs Table on Princess and Carnival and both times it was held in a private room and was quite formal and private. I think we will pass on Oasis then as it is quite expensive and even though the food is the star the ambiance matters too. We have reservations at 150 CP for one night so I guess that will be our special dinner night. Edited December 7, 2019 by blueridgemama

Adventure is on the stairs between deck 5 and 4 in MDR I still prefer Izumi Edited December 8, 2019 by John&LaLa

palmettostatecruiser Posted December 8, 2019 #24 Share Posted December 8, 2019 150 CP...we decided to try it as we had already eaten at Giovannis several times on other ships. We had a wonderful experience there and would definitely go again if we ever go on a class that has it again, which is doubtful. It was the most 'touch's experience we've had on a ship.
