SteelCruisin Posted December 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 7, 2019 We were fortunate enough to be on the second cruise to visit O.C. and what a fantastic island it is, it will be even better in a few years when all the vegetation has grown in, but still an awesome destination. All the food trucks did serve the same stuff which was a little disapointing, and the buffet line was ridiculous, but that did not hamper a fantastic day!
SteelCruisin Posted December 7, 2019 Author #2 Share Posted December 7, 2019 We set up just in front of this cabana by the lagoon...the lagoon water was colder than the ocean was...
SteelCruisin Posted December 7, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted December 7, 2019 Food trucks all looked the same , with the same menus and the line moved fast... 1
Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted December 7, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) HAHA, what's up with the free sign taped to the menu? Perhaps that's remains from when MSC was going to charge for food on the island and they just taped over the original price? ' I thought I read that the menu's for the food trucks were going to be MUCH different than this. Fish, wings, conch, etc.... This info is a bit disappointing. Nashna Posted December 7, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 7, 2019 I would expect that they may take awhile to introduce complicated menus served at different trucks. Like any new project, this one will take a few months to sort out the wrinkles.

People are still asking if there is a charge for the food trucks on CC. I'm sure this home made sign was made to avoid confusion and perhaps went up after people kept asking. That's actually a good point. I was thinking it was covering up the original charge. Hopefully they will come up with something a bit less tacky in the very near future. Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted December 7, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 7, 2019 The junkaroo parade videos look super fun and the dancing on the beach party looked a hoot. We've stayed several times at the the Rui Palace in PC and they have a parade every Thursday that is almost identical theme. Super fun!! This island has lots of potential for certain! SteelCruisin Posted December 7, 2019 Author #12 Share Posted December 7, 2019 The lighthouse had 2 light shows that were different over the course of the night, both were good..the Junkanoo parade led everyone to a beach party that was illuminated in different color lights... SteelCruisin Posted December 7, 2019 Author #17 Share Posted December 7, 2019 The beach called paradise sands was probably the nicest beach, the area around the north end of the lagoon was crazy busy at the bar...I would reccomend investing some time to get further from the ship...will post more later.
