The executives will not respond and may never even see any emails from customers.  NCL has an entire customer service department where it will be sent.

This is 100% true.  They don't have time to listen to your trivial bellyaching.  Even in my insignificant corner of the world, I have an admin who filters and triages my messages.

Emails to Execs are routed to off shore guest services call centers where representatives use canned, legally approved responses sent out under the signature of the exec. The execs don’t look at the thousands of emails sent to their public emails ever week.

More in likely the reason for the communication is complaint or critic - rarely kudos and compliments !
