We have a cruise friend who has a suite as a solo. We're booked on the same cruise in an inside. She invited us to move to her suite. The TA has assured us we get the same price and benefits that our friend received when she booked. We're all going to share the cost, which is a great deal for her and even though we'll pay a little more than our original booking...we'll be in our first suite. Thanks, Renee
Rare geoherb Posted December 14, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2019 It depends on if the ship has reached its capacity of passengers. Sometimes you can't add additional passengers even when your room has the capacity to do so.
Greg4502 Posted December 14, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2019 Also you have to paid the extra port fees for the second person.
crystalspin Posted December 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 15, 2019 If your lifeboat reaches capacity, they will not let you add another person. Have you thought of booking for two and dropping the other if they can't come? Since a solo pays double or nearly anyway.
LoveThatCorgi Posted December 15, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2019 How do you book the second person in a cabin if you aren't sure who might be coming? I have been thinking about letting our 17 year old bring a friend in summer 2021 before they enter their senior high school year, but I don't know who that will be this far out. Call Princess or TA (if using one).

Put anyone's name in -- you can change one name as long as one remains the same.
