webzila Posted January 2, 2020 #29 Share Posted January 2, 2020 I am 1 for 1 so far. Submitted the form this week and within 24 hours got an approval and 33 OBC Just submitted another one last night - will see what happens. The first was only ~$15 cheaper per person Most recent I submitted is $35 cheaper per person but appears to be identical to what Carnival is offering.

I submitted 1 form on 12/30 and got a response on 12/31 Then I submitted another on 12/31 and no response yet. I know there was a holiday in between so maybe they are backed up or short staffed. It is also available of Princess and HAL, and I'm guessing the other lines owned by the Carnival Corporation.

zorky12 Posted January 7, 2020 #40 Share Posted January 7, 2020 (edited) I had success for Cozumel excursion Amazing Secret River. $104.99.pp and found it for $95.00pp. Received a $4.39pp OBC. Carnival https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/cozumel/amazing-secret-river-304247 Viator https://www.viator.com/tours/Cozumel/Amazing-Underworld-River/d632-22626P2 Not sure though why it was only $4.39. 110% of the price difference should be $10.99 The requirements stated : If your claim meets these requirements, Carnival Cruise Line will issue a non-refundable onboard credit worth 110% of the price difference. An email confirming the outcome of the request will be sent to you. If you cancel your excursion, your onboard credit will also be cancelled. The onboard credit is nonrefundable, nontransferable, and has no cash value. The onboard credit must be used during the applicable cruise. Any unused portion of the onboard credit will be forfeited Edited January 7, 2020 by zorky12

My first request I got 110% price match. Today, I got a response about my 2nd excursion price match. They are saying " We wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that we have submitted your request for additional review as the excursions do not match exactly. We will do a bit of additional research and let you know if we can approve the claim within a few days." To me it looks identical, maybe I am missing something? Someone else here on CC had reported that they had been successful with that one. I was a little afraid they would say no because the one on Carnival has lunch while the one on Shore Excursioneer has breakfast but otherwise is the same.

I did get a email back today from me asking for clarification. Carnival is correct on this. When I booked my excursion this one was $99.99 per person and not the current price of $104.99. So my 110% is actually $4.39 which I am grateful for. I mean they could have said no and I prefer to book with Carnival for the security of it something happens with transpiration or anything they wont leave us behind. So I received $4.39 for all 4 of us in my cabin and my family members also submitted for it so we should get 11 more people with credits for this.

I have seen people turned down. It’s documented in some of the port of call forums so it’s a bit of a risk if you’re paying an additional $30-40pp for the carnival excursion. That’s why I’d like to see excursions people have had success with. Here is the form you have to fill out: https://www.carnival.com/request-forms/shore-excursion-best-price-guarantee.aspx Thanks! I actually booked the same excursion in Belize... submitted my form... fingers crossed. I actually found it for $74.99 on shoreexcursioneer, so we will see.
