Oasis..Suite or no?? HELP!

We sailed YC on Seaside for 2 weeks in July 2018.  It was a great experience. YC deluxe rooms are about the size of a JS on the older Royal ships.  But the shower is the second best next to the CLS showers on Oasis and Allure.

It was great having a drink package and a quiet area to come back to.  Loved going all around the ship and doing things, then coming back to a private uncrowded and relaxing top sail lounge. For a nice swim their is a private pool deck and hot tubs.  Not needing to worry about chair jogs is also very nice.  Having drink package, mini bar, YC restaurant and lounge is the icing on the cake.  Our butler was great and we have asked for him for our 2 weeks this June sailing.

Butlers service was great but I cant compare it to genie.  We are low maintenance so did not ask much.  But the service escorting you off ship for shore excursions and return tendering from grand cayman was very nice.  It was a much better experience than we had with Liberty this past Oct/Nov sailing in a suite.

If you have any questions just ask away and I will help you out.  The value of an MSC cruise cannot be beat.  But I have to say that the prices for YC are rising.  Prices have gone up by almost 50٪ since our last MSC cruise in 2018.

i wish msc went out of NYC. i dont fly to cruises. it seems like such a steal compared to haven pricing. plus daily menu changes sound wonderful compared to  haven fixed menu.  was it your experience that there are many more non americans compared to other lines? meaning things on board may not be done the 'american way' we are used to here.

have u priced thru a TA. the crown loft for the last week in may on oasis was only 5K. just double 🙂

I only sail end of January...the prices with a TA are the same or a more in my experience. I have found TA's to be mostly useless and have less knowledge about RCCL than I do. What I don't know I turn to the trusty internet and chat boards to find out.

Even better is ladabee since that has a suite beach with really nice buffet, currently coco cay has nothing special for suites.

I have been to Labadee and PDCC AND I MUCH PREFER PDCC. I don't like the Mexican ports that the Labadee itinerary offered.

OP, congrats on upgrading.  I am sure you and your kids will love it.  Talk about a week of pampering.

Is your cruise going to Coco Cay?  Many cabana opportunities!

Yes, PDCC, st Thomas and st maarten. We have done the beach beds on PDCC and might try that again..any recommendations on cabanas?

But have you been to suite beach in ladabee, it is really nice , staff provides towels , floats and a nice buffet, will be there next week on celebrity. Agree would be nice if we could send a private message.

You just need to find a good TA😉

We moved to Cocoa Beach about a year and a half ago.  Do you use a local for your TA?  Looking for a good one, who would you recommend?

Who do you recommend?

From the Cruise Critic Guidelines:

This means you should not ask about someone's travel agent, nor should you respond in kind. Offering to email someone your travel agent's name or info is also not allowed, nor is asking members to email you for the information.

Correct me if I'm  wrong, but i think the 2 bedroom grand suites on 12 have the jacuzzi on the balcony too.

You ARE Correct!!! Its going to be amazing sitting in the Jacuzzi sailing and watching the sun set with a glass of wine! Or champagne....or both!

We have a CL booked and our 2 adult sons and their wives are sharing one of the deck 12 two bedroom GS. I figure we will crash their hot tub a few evenings.  We are supposed to sail in July. Fingers are crossed NY Port Authority will allow Oasis to sail from Cape Liberty by then.
