Let's say it does not. The person scanning will not just let them pass will they? I doubt it. It could be like the problem with the slot machine. The person scanning picks up the info from a valid Medallion that a nearby passenger has.

There were a bunch of follow up posts from people who had the cash out to wrong medallion problem with the slot machines. I can no longer find the thread with folks mis-adventures using the medallion in slot machines. There were two issues raised -- starting with cash, and cashing out -- the cash out went to any nearby medallion. Playing and cashing out, and not receiving the money on your account -- people speculated that when you sat down, you continued playing with the previous user's medallion account. There were then 4-5 follow-ups by people who had the same problem, and that had to go to the purser's desk, etc. to get it straightened out. I think it's off that I can't find a thread from the past week or so, but the rules do no allow me to speculate about such things.

I would scan the medallion for the first time and enter my pin. It would then indicate it was me every time I played. So I cannot see that happening either. No different than on any other ship when sticking in you room key card. Yep, all these other posters are lying about things they have witnessed. Nice catch there. I'm sorry, but I cannot seem to find any posts where a poster personally witnessed slot winnings going to someone else's account. Can you help identify the posts that I apparently missed? That is the way it is supposed to be. But as many have posted about the Medallion unlocking their cabin doors, the sensitivity has ranged from several feet away to needing to touch the Medallion to the screen by the door. It could be that the slot machine Medallion detectors also have a sensitivity problem.

But you would still need to manually enter your PIN on the slot machine after you scan the medallion before it does anything. When I scanned my medallion, the screen on the slot machine showed my name and then required me to enter the 4 digit PIN I created. When cashing out, nothing goes on my medallion, it goes into the same casino account that existed before medallions and still exists on non medallion ships where you insert your room card. I can't imagine somebody putting cash into a slot machine if it was showing some other person at log in.

kywildcatfanone Posted February 11, 2020 #62 Share Posted February 11, 2020 I can't believe they could have gotten past check in, unless the systems aren't separated by ship or something odd like that.
