Porky55 Posted February 14, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2020 (edited) Those news reports are from the Daily Mail in the UK - are there any Australian media reporting the same thing, or anything out of Sydney itself, that aren’t repeating the DM story??? NSWP Posted February 14, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2020 Fake News, put the Daily Mail in the same letterbox as now defunct News of the World. Rubbish tabloids.

boeckli Posted February 14, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2020 Onboard Jewel now, all good. Channels 7, 10 and Reuters did interview some pax. Boarding was delayed. They have had GI (noro) onboard, so no self service, blank tables in the dining room. Fabulous weather in Sydney, saw ovation in the harbor earlier, Not sure what the story is, apparently she was docked here yesterday, but has now left it seems.
bl262000 Posted February 14, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2020 (edited) Ovation as of 3hrs ago according to marinetraffic is sitting outside the heads. Its supposed to be on its way to Noumea so maybe cyclone Uesi has postponed that Just noted Ovations itinerary change to no longer go to Brisbane but be in Syd for an extra day. Exactly as I thought, as soon as I saw the Daily Mail header. For Sky News to pick it up (was on FB too) things must be a little desperate - think they would fact check first? No? 🤔
gbenjo Posted February 14, 2020 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2020 (edited) Yep, total beat up by the bottom feeding scum bag tabloids. I was working at the OPT today and yes there were a couple of Noro passengers and the health dept wisely checked the pax out before letting them leave the ship. We did However have two corona cases come off the ship and I was able to take a photo to confirm this. Would you believe the colour of their luggage tag....yep ..Lime Edited February 14, 2020 by gbenjo 3 1
pink845 Posted February 14, 2020 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2020 Let's get real. There are so many fear mongers out there. As soon as they see an ambulance at the cruise port, they have some news organization on speed dial and want to get their name in the news by reporting "coronavirus". And of course, the dirty rags love them and can add something splashy to their front page. A person can be having an asthma attached (hence respiratory illness) and require hospitalization but the attention seekers grab on anything and everthing.
