Purchasing wine before embarkation

Hi all,

 

I am looking at a Southern Caribbean cruise departing out of San Juan in September.
 

I have read that there is a store to buy wine in the Panamerican cruise terminal...does anyone know if this is still true?

The store is still there but wine selections are very limited. 🍷

Stay at the Embassy in Isla Verde (north of the airport) and there is a large Pueblo grocery next door.  Large wine area.

On this same subject of purchasing wine, can you purchase at ports while cruising and consume it onboard?  I know liquor, etc. is held if purchased at ports but I wasn't sure if wine can be replenished during our cruise through Italy.

Much cheaper just going to a supermarket. You'll often find the same bottles of wine half or more off than the terminals. And, that applies pretty much around the world (more so noticed especially in Barcelona).

That probably varies by port and even ship, more likely in Europe - the official policy is no.
