Do we just get refunds/fcc on the little bit we had to pay for and lose our comped cruise offer? 😞 Edited March 13, 2020 by fstuff1

TonyFred Posted March 14, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2020 I am wondering this also. I had over 850 dollars tied up in exc, tips, fees. etc. But my cabin was comped. Suddenly all record of payment is gone from My Vacation Home even though the cruise is still there. Why am I not surprised. I emailed the Casino group for clarity. No reply yet. Rare BirdTravels Posted March 14, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2020 Whatever you do, don’t email NCL. Talk to someone on the phone. There are tens of thousands of “what if corona...” emails in front of you. They may get to your request this time next year.
cabincop Posted March 14, 2020 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2020 I’m thinking that when NCL starts sailing again we’ll get CAS invites for cruising. Pretty sure they can count on some of us degenerate gamblers to help fill some cabins. I’ll go
fstuff1 Posted March 14, 2020 Author #6 Share Posted March 14, 2020 For certificate award reservations, contact a Casino Guest Service Representative 9:00AM to 9:00PM EST Monday to Friday and 10:30AM to 7:00PM EST Saturday and Sunday1-888-785-8259 yeah, this is a lie. CAS is not open on Sat. today is Sat, i called and got regular NCL. i have to call back on Mon when CAS is open to find out how hey're going to handle my free cruise certificate. 😞 as for the cruisenext i used for my canceled cruise, they'll put it back into my acct starting March 23. and for the actual out of pocket $ for port fees/taxes, it's 125% fcc or 100% cash. for 100% cash, fill out request form starting March 23. i'm taking the 125% fcc
dbrown84 Posted March 14, 2020 #7 Share Posted March 14, 2020 The cas line is open on Saturday and Sunday during the times listed above. This is specifically the reservation line though, not the cas office staff
Sand and Seas Posted March 14, 2020 #8 Share Posted March 14, 2020 How they handle the port fees and two cruise next deposits will be part of my decision for our refund choice. I won't be able to contact them Monday so hope someone here will report when you reach the Miami CAS office on Monday.
RHilla619 Posted March 14, 2020 #9 Share Posted March 14, 2020 I started a thread on this a couple days ago because I couldn't get through to CAS with the crazy hold times. Seems like people are getting mixed results...

I doubt NCL will be offering many CAS comps once it set sail again - It is going to desperate for revenue -unless there can get some high losers!!! BTW - completely off topic given NCL have just borrowed another $625million I suggest that the new Leonardo class will be cut back or cancelled!!! If so, you should be booking directly with CAS and not relying on your land base casino certificates. You would get a lot better rooms. And basically pick any cruise you want. Not really. The Casino makes offers based on anticipated revenue (theoretical losses) per person. The Casino pays for the rooms. Did you know that on a lot of cruises, over 25% of the adult passengers are on a casino comp/discount (direct from CAS or a land base casino)? Think about that. On our last Encore Cruise, there were over 800 casino guest onboard. The Casino makes a lot of money for NCL.
bmwman Posted March 14, 2020 #13 Share Posted March 14, 2020 Thanks that is interesting and I did not know this - thank you I am afraid i think NCL is in big trouble then as people will simply not want to travel ingroups for some time comp or other wise. I hope I am wrong but an analysis if their last published accounts and their debts. NCL have got too big and lost sight of it roots and forgotten its loyal passengers. The days of pricing the Haven at silly money are over!! The UK site summer Epic prices are the lowest I have ever seen.
