oddly excitered Posted March 26, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2020 Looking at itineraries for Oasis out of bayonne this summer, I always like to get an idea about the best room locations pre booking. Deck plans don't seem to have any obvious hidden gems. We generally like the upper decks on Anthem because of easy access to pool decks and WJ plus solarium.Only other ship we were on was Enchantment where we had an interior room. Ourusualbeach Posted March 26, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2020 Really there are no bad balconies. Just watch distance from the elevator. Stay away from 14 as you could get some noise from the pool deck above. deck 6 and 8 are convenient to the promenade, Central Park and Boardwalk. There is more happening aft so I usually book near the aft elevators. avoid deck 7 aft as you cannot cross over from port to starboard due to the two story Boardwalk entrance. 1
oddly excitered Posted March 26, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) Aft balcony rooms don't seem to have anything over them per deck plans, is this the case? I see the pool and flow rider are there but that should not be noisy at night. Edited March 26, 2020 by oddly excitered

What cabins are you looking at. There is the basketball court mini golf flowrider... I would avoid the starboard side with the basketball court. Port side shouldn’t be too bad
oddly excitered Posted March 26, 2020 Author #5 Share Posted March 26, 2020 Was doing mock booking last night and only available rooms seemed to be far astern on both sides, thought that these might be Good for us but wondered why they were the last ones left as if there was something wrong in those areas. There are most likely lots of other cabins available, Royals site only shows a limited selection.
lovescats5 Posted March 27, 2020 #8 Share Posted March 27, 2020 Best ocean view would be an A1 or A2 Aqua Theater suite. Best view of both the ocean and all the activities taking place in the Aqua Theater.
kevink Posted March 27, 2020 #9 Share Posted March 27, 2020 If you're looking for more balcony space, the rooms at the center of the humps. -- Kevin

To be more specific, the deck 7 aft elevator lobby is blocked by the "BOARDWALK" sign. Because of that blockage, if you take an elevator to Deck 7, and you got on an elevator on the port side but need to get to the starboard side, you can't. You have to walk up a flight of stairs and down again, or down and up again. 🙂 So be sure to get on an elevator on the correct side of the ship in the first place. 😄

As you can see in this photo the sign is right at the window and is not very wide On either side you will see the glass around where the hallway should continue but it doesn’t because it’s a two story entryway to the Boardwslk to give it a dramatic effect. You are absolutely correct about getting the elevator that is on the correct side of the ship. Edited March 27, 2020 by Ourusualbeach
