Could you purchase a cabana on HMC in advance, and then cancel it onboard (for a refund) and then use OBC to re-purchase it?

Following. I have $800+ OBC. Someone said earlier that you can cash out in the casino but it looks like that reply is gone. Is that no longer an option?

OBC is typically exactly that, ON BOARD credit. With that being said, gratuties, drink packages, excursions, specialty dining, casino, bingo, spa, etc. Anything on board.I have never had any luck using it before boarding.

How far into the cruise is HMC?  That won’t work if day 1 of the cruise is past the cancellation period.

I don't know if they still carry gift card in the Cherry on Top candy store, but one time I had more OBC than I needed.  They allowed me to buy a Carnival gift card and charge it to my shipboard account.  I knew exactly how much OBC credit I had left and bought a gift card for that amount, then used the giftcard on my next cruise.
