What can you tell me about the Radission Port Canaveral

Hoping to make the Aug  cruise after being cancelled 3 times....

Last time we cruised out of Port Canaveral we stayed near the airport because we arrived close to midnight so just wanted a bed.

This time we are arriving late afternoon the day prior.  Looking at hotels near the port and it seems that the best deal I can find is for the Radisson Resort at the Port.

Does anyone have any experience with the property or can you shed some light.

Not looking for much other than a clean room and someplace for dinner.  We were actually looking at Grills or fish lips . I would assume either a shuttle or quick uber ride could get us there or is it possible to walk??

Thanks for your help

the Rad' meets your requirements. It is a wee bit older but still very popular with the cruise crowd.  Has a well liked / large pool area with a bar etc.  Grills / Fishlips is near enuf to walk but because you must cross a very busy road AND after dark some of the walk is unlit I'd recommend a quick UBER ... even a regular taxi won't cost much . . Grills / FL have the nice port views but in addition: just across the street from the Rad is Preacher Bar and Kelsey's Family Italian. Kelsey's is a family favorite we've been going to since the 80's .... and Preacher is popular ....

This is our go to Hotel in Port Canaveral.  We did stay in a renovated room that was a suite. It was extremely nice.  We were there 2 years ago so I'm not sure if they renovated all of the rooms. I love the pool/pool bar/ and hot tub.  There is no breakfast but they do have a restaurant on site.

We stayed at the Radisson as it had a Parking Package which included shuttle to the port.  Room was clean, hotel was nice with a lovely Tropical Pool area.  Only disappointment was no restaurant.  For lunch we went walked right next door to this little Greek restaurant.  Very clean with wonderful Mediterranean food.  I am sure there are other small restaurants nearby.  You do need to sign up for the shuttle which starts taking people over to the port pretty early like 10 AM, so it wouldn't be long before you would be on board and getting a bite to eat.

The Resort by the Port is great!!  Especially for families I think, because they have a HUGE pool in the center of the hotel..  Wonderful place to relax and have a drink also 🙂

There is a McD's right across the street for breakfast as theirs isnt much to right home about.  Also a little store down the street to get forgotten items.  You can also UBER to many restaurants near the cruise way and eat and watch ships leave.
