Flying into FLL, sailing from POM.  Trying to decide on a hotel...

Which hotels near downtown/Miami airport/POM offer free shuttles to the port?

Are there any hotels you can get a free shuttle from FLL airport to a hotel in downtown/Miami airport/POM area? 

Any hotels that offer both a free shuttle from FLL airport to the hotel then to POM? 

 

Understandable we can book the Carnival airport transfer and use local transportation just seeing what free options we might have one place or another.

There are no free shuttles between anywhere in Ft Lauderdale and anywhere in Miami, or vice versa. It is a 40-45 minute drive. Some hotels might include a shuttle in a package, or charge you separately for it, but none are free.

 

A hotel we have stayed at in Miami which has a paid shuttle to the port is Hampton Brickell. Great hotel in a very good location. There are many threads and recommendations here for it.

Your other option is to stay near FLL and shuttle or Uber to POM the next morning. www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel and tourist info.  Shared shuttles between FLL area hotels and POM start at about $15 per person each way, or you can use UberX or standard Lyft for about $35+

Personally I'd stay in downtown Miami.  Uber to the hotel from FLL, then to the ship in the morning.  The cost from hotel to ship is next to nothing and much nicer being on demand than waiting for a shuttle.  I've not really seen a hotel that offers a free shuttle anywhere in that area. 

 

If you're dead set on staying in Ft Lauderdale, then just get an Uber the next morning to POM.

If you want to do it on the cheap and you don't mind schlepping luggage you can take the tri-rail from FLL airport (free shuttle to the train station from FLL airport) to MIA airport.   Then, most hotels offer comp airport pick-up at MIA.  Most hotels do NOT offer comp transport to the cruise ship terminal, but you can then Uber/Lyft to the port from the hotel.

Only some Hotels near the MIA airport offer free shuttles; none of the popular downtown hotels offers a shuttle from MIA.

 

IMHO you are better off spending about $35+ for either Uber or Lyft and enjoying curbside to door service from FLL to your Miami hotel instead of spending an hour plus with bags on shuttles and trains to stay near the airport. Or just stay near FLL and Uber straight to POM the next morning.
