iancal Posted May 8, 2020 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) Five questions really. -will the cruise be operating -will it have the same itinerary as it currently does or will ports be skipped, changed etc. If so does it matter to you. -will you want to book the cruise if there are on board restrictions-facemasks, distancing, whatever -will you feel safe cruising at this time. If not, will that unease impact your enjoyment of the cruise? -do you feel comfortable giving more money to the cruise line knowing that if you cancel it could take months to get monies owing to you returned. CruiserBruce Posted May 8, 2020 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2020 Nobody is going to be able to tell you with any confidence what the status of cruising will be in early 2021. And believe me, many have asked!
Krazy Kruizers Posted May 8, 2020 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2020 Only you can decide if you want to take the gamble that cruises will be up and sailing in 2021.
DFD1 Posted May 8, 2020 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2020 I will be pleasantly surprised if that cruise takes place. However, if you believe HAL will survive and if the offer is refundable in the event of cancellation....why not?
AlanF65 Posted May 8, 2020 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2020 There was a lengthy discussion elsewhere, basically if I remember correctly the 20% bonus on the gift card needed to be used by 12-31-2020 Here it is: Promotional gift card expires on 12/31/2020. Gift cards may be used for purchases on board Holland America Line vessels or applied as payment to a Holland America Line cruise booking. This card may not be redeemed for cash, unless required by law. Purchases made on bonus gift cards are non-refundable after 12/31/2020. Bonus gift cards are non-transferrable after 12/31/2020 https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/legal-privacy/gift-card-terms-and-conditions.html
