Passengers on Ferries

I've been reading the requirements for passengers on P&O ferries Dover- Calais, and they give a small insight into what it might be like on a cruise ship.

Passengers must be key workers; returning home (evidence of home required) or freight drivers.

Masks to be brought, or will be provided by the ship.

Social distancing to be maintained.

Extra washing/hygiene provided.

Air conditioning is changed to 100% fresh air.

There are descriptions of the extra cleaning involved, and isolation rooms; people to follow the signs round the ship

No foot passengers allowed.

That's for the very short journey between Dover and Calais.

P&O ferries from Scotland, or Liverpool to Ireland do not have as much detail, although it does say that the journey will probably be a daytime one- perhaps so that cabins aren't used?

We"re in Seattle  and two grocery stores  we were in had one way aisles. And most we've  been  in had you  enter and exit through  different  doors. Seems  that could  be  adapted  for  ships.

These requirements are due to the quarantine imposed by the UK government.

That sounds lika a bad thing for social distancing. Isn't it easier to keep distance if most of the time is spend in the bed?
