Quantum of the Seas Star class Alaska 2021

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the Quantum of the seas will have STAR Class Royal Suite Program for the Alaska sailings for 2021.  They do not have them for the Asian markets and was curious to know if they would implement them for the Alaska sailings?

Assume that she will have the "normal" Suite class set up, just like Ovation, for sailings away from China.

We were told she would have Star Class.  Better, we are booked in the Royal Loft on the Sept. 20 sailing.

I have heard conflicting information from Royal. Do you have documentation from your invoice?

We did extensive talking to RCI and our TA concerning SC when we booked Ovation, also when we booked Odyssey.  We did not check when booking Quantum because we assumed (not a good thing to do I know) that same Q class should be the same answer.  However, that said, they could have told us there would be genies and then say that was not the case.  By then it is too late and it is too late to cancel.  I guess I am saying, we are believing there will be a SC and we will have a genie.  If not, we still have a decent room and will just have to add the packages we would want.

All Oasis and Quantum Class ships offer the "Star Class" program with the onlyy exception for cruises out of China since RCL is catering to this market differently as per local demand requirements. During the time Ovation was still seasonaly based in Tianjin the "Star Class" program was available as soon as the vessel reached Singapore and headed to Australia and vice versa.

I am curious about the entire suite levels such as Sea, Sky and Star. I am looking to book a Grand Suite to Alaska for Summer, 2021 and would like to know the amenities included i.e. internet, Coastal Kitchen, Room Service, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You can go to the RCI site and read about the separate classes.  I only know that in Star Class you get priority on and off, ultimate drink package, priority restaurants, free room service, free internet, saved seating at any and all shows, front of the line at any daily activities (Q class is iFly, bumper cars, etc), Coastal Kitchen for any and or all meals, Suite Lounge (not to be confused with Diamond Lounge, it is a lot less crowded).  We always had snacks and deserts in our room in the afternoon and evening.  Our genie was always there, even when we thought we could sneak around without him knowing.  I know some of this is personal preference but by the time we added in the extra's we would need for a week cruise it was almost the same price as a sea or sky room.  By far, the best thing was the early on because our suite was always ready and debarkation was awesome as you are escorted past the hundred's waiting in line to get off.  At least we enjoyed that, not sure the people waiting in line enjoyed having to wait for us.

There are star class rooms on the Quantum this year. We were in a Sky loft. The Grand Loft next to us was a Star class room.

Probably just due to availability, likely the Star Class rooms are all booked.  The Grand Loft Suites (6), Owners Loft Suite (1), and Royal Loft Suite (1) would be the rooms that have Star and with only 8 staterooms, it won’t take much to run out of inventory.

We did the Ovation GLS on the inaugural Alaska cruise and they had Star Class with that sailing.  As soon as they are in the US expect to have the Royal Suite program.
