Rare Roz Posted July 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2020 They probably don't have a plan per se, just hoping for the best when 2022 rolls around.

drsel Posted July 4, 2020 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2020 This is a very smart idea to collect large deposits/funds to run their operations until cruising resumes and they start getting some income.
drsel Posted July 4, 2020 #8 Share Posted July 4, 2020 World Cruises are very popular and very much in demand. they usually get sold out many months in advance
KirkNC Posted July 4, 2020 #9 Share Posted July 4, 2020 Oceania’s has been out for six months. Based on the ports Princess has selected, I would want to wait to see if HAL can come up with better ports of call. I was very surprised at the pricing of Princess, that’s the cheapest I have seen in a number of years. I think those prices are comparable to 2017. drsel Posted July 4, 2020 #10 Share Posted July 4, 2020 I don't know about world Cruises, but in general, Cruise prices have been stagnant for decades.Luckily there is no inflation in dollar terms since the 70s and 80s.
KirkNC Posted July 4, 2020 #11 Share Posted July 4, 2020 World cruises have gone up. The cheapest cabin on HAL’s 2017 was $16,999, in 2020 it was $24,999. 2020 did have 14 more days but that’s a 50% increase.

Yes I agree world cruises are overpriced on a per person per night basis.if a 7 night Cruise costs $700 per person for an inside cabin then a 100 night world Cruise should cost $10,000 per person for an inside cabin. This is excluding shore excursions, alcohol, specialty dining, spa, etc
