New measures introduced on Crystal Bach, Crystal Debussy, Crystal Mahler & Crystal Ravel

Crystal understands that relationships are built on trust. With your continued trust in mind, we have applied our exacting attention to detail across all of our new safety measures. So while our touch may remain (intentionally) unseen, we deliver nothing less than total transparency in all matters regarding your health and wellness.

With more than 30 years of cruising to the far reaches of the world, Crystal has a long tradition of implementing and maintaining exceptional standards for health and safety at sea. To further protect our Crystal Family we're introducing Crystal Clean+, a stringent set of health & safety protocols and measures to meet the unique challenges posed by Covid-19. The company is tackling this with science and innovation and in accordance with the latest data and recommendations by health experts.

Measures include enhanced cleaning protocols; social distancing and facial covering guidelines; health monitoring for guests and crew; new streamlined embarkation procedures; shoreside partner collaborations and much more.

The protocols introduced here are the initial measures in Crystal Clean+. Every protocol will be continually evaluated and will be updated as new information becomes available. Crystal will be in full compliance with all national and local health requirements and guidelines when we sail. Additional measures will be implemented and communicated accordingly as they are eventually announced.

That's all well and good, but for US passengers, we can't even get there to board the ship. ☹️

As Canadians, we can enter the EU but we have a government advisory to avoid all unnecessary travel outside Canada.  So no can do without risking insurance cover.  I think Crystal and other river companies will be in a tough spot getting sufficient onboard numbers to justify a return to sailing until the sizable American demographic is able to participate.

Better they come up with policies before cruising starts than after......

Crystal has cancelled all cruises for 2020, I guess this will be for 2021.  The US State Dept. now says that Americans can travel, and hopefully Canada will allow us to travel by then as well.

My understanding is that other countries won't let us in.

Unfortunately, most won't, but a lot are asking Canadians to quarantine as well, so for now, no one is really travelling.  At least you can now book and not worry about insurance not covering you due to the "no travel" advisory.
