Everything... project Leonardo/Prima class!

Recommended Posts

the second ship with the larger pool deck looks much better, but at this ship class the funeral is more to the middle.

But i have to say i like the ship, i love the MSC Seaside Class and can´t wait to compare the Prima.

At the Prima FB gruop were two pics from the casino, more white and stylisch and seems shortly ready for gamble, the cruises can start :-)))

It is a question of opinion and it is everyone's choice.  I sailed twice on the Epic.  The outside look doesn't bother me.  I hated that ship because of its interior layout and the design of the cabins, especially in the Haven.  And, although there is a crew rotation, both times I was on her the service was poor.  Half of the time, there was no ones at the Haven concierge desk, when they were there, I always got the impression that I disturbed them with my request.  One time, I forgot my keycard inside my room.  Although it was not that far, I got a complete lecture as how important it was to ensure that I had my keycard upon leaving my cabin.

As far the layout, there is a huge sun deck on the top decks  but no elevators to get there and no bar service.

My list can go on and on.  But my choice may not be shared by eveyone.  As far as I am concerned, I will never sail on her again.

Almost makes the Epic look good. That's a reach.

Personally I don’t find the Prima bad looking.  I do find the Epic Ugly.  I even debated not cruising on Epic due to the ugliness, but someone said you don’t see it when your on the ship LOL so someday.  We had a TA cancelled last year with a terrific itinerary.  Wife bucket list is to sail on all the NCL ships, so eventually!

I did the Mediterranean cruise on the Epic.  Ugly or not, it was a wonderful trip!

She is going back to marghera. Hope someone make new pics and vids when she arrives.

I've seen some good first hand interior photos of Prima, not wanting to leech them without permission so bear with me till we hopefully get a go.. :classic_happy:

Prima is also on schedule. That is the good news.

There is one thing I've been reluctant about to post about and there is absolute no indication whatsoever that it has a negative impact on any of the (future) builds but that is how close the inland Tulcea shipyard (Romania) is to the Ukrainian south border, approx. 4 to 5 km/2.5 miles. As most regulars here know, at Tulcea, a Fincantier subsidiairy, they construct the partial hull before they tow them to Venice, Italy. Part of this transit is through the Black Sea. The river mouth/canal from Tulcea that feeds into the Black Sea is under 40km/25 miles from the disputed Snake Island and surrounding waters.

Again, there is no indication, I am not stirring the pot and we haven't seen anything from Tulcea's social media regarding the third Prima class ship but it might be more difficult to set up and say insure such a tow operation the next time(s) or even pass the Istanbul strait if it's blocked. Also I, among most of you, too like to keep politics off the thread and board, as much as we love our shared hobby of cruising we eventually all are different and unique in our opinions and views as we often proudy proof here on the various threads. :classic_laugh:Although we probably all would be on the very same side about a particular matter but discussing that would distract from purpose of the thread.

All we can do is hope.

I know the path/circuit was part of its test mission, but it sure reminds me of those "Family Circus" Sunday strips where the kids wander all over the landscape to end up ten feet away from the starting point.

I think that there is a problem with their nav system.

I never had an issue with the look of the Epic. Not your "typical" look? - no doubt. We enjoyed our sailings on her, and never once felt we were on an ugly duckling.

Tom

I agree. we have done 5 cruises on the Epic we like the ship, don't mind the staterooms, and we love the spa, this ship has the best Spa.

Norwegian Prima & Viva cruisers - NCL Leonardo class ships

Normally most of the Everything threads ends up on those FB groups, this time it’s around for this one group with an true exclusive source.

I guess it’s part of the decline of CC and rise of generic social media that such sources randomly pop up in such FB groups instead of finding their way to the NCL board here, which would be the #1 gathering spot for NCL loyals and actually still has the most knowledge. Oh well, I might be getting old and jealous! :classic_blush:

I think fb links are not allowed here or to groups.

but you have to be a fb member that you can see them and then you can search for groups and find fast some  and the right one 🙂
