Just had to cancel our Nov 7th sailing before final payment, wasn't given any option at moving the deposit. Had to take the $100 loss.

Not super happy, especially in a few weeks when they announce the sailing will be cancelled .

They should have been able to move that deposit over because Carnival said all November cruises would be allowed to. Maybe you should call back and confirm that?

Has anyone else had trouble paying their final balance? It was due on August 16 and the link would not work to pay. I emailed and tried to call Carnival but got no response.

Now the cruise has disappeared from my upcoming cruise list and I also can't re-book the room. because the cruise is not showing up.

I certainly hope they don't try to keep my deposit,  that would be very bad PR!

Our cruise out of NO on 1st Nov still showing, we are from UK so can’t fly to US if it does go, I’m hoping it will cancel soon
You should hope the flights will resume and the ship will sail by the 1st November.

I would love for that to happen but I’m afraid to get my hopes up. This would have been a huge holiday for us, first time to New York, New Orleans and then a cruise. I will rebook when it feels safe to do so

Miracle on Nov 5th. had to pay me final payment today. I'm sure now they have my money, they will now cancel the cruise. 2020 has sucked for everyone, so I shouldn't complain... [emoji846]

We are also booked on your same sailing. Fingers crossed that it will happen.

I've been watching Carnival Panorama out of Long Beach. When this thread was started, ALL November cruises were removed from the website, and the first sailing out of Long Beach was mid December. I want to say the 19th, or somewhere around there.

Interestingly, November 14th has been put BACK. But then nothing else for the month of November. Weird.

Probably the rest are max capacity

We were on the Thanksgiving Panorama, I cancelled yesterday rather than pay full payment today.  I've had three cruises cancelled after final payment, and received refunds on all, but just don't feel like waiting for 90 days for my money.  Also, no way can my family take the cruise if masks will be required at any time, as my autistic son refuses to wear one.

I think in June and July, they announced substantial cancellations the last week of the month?  I'm hoping they do it this next week.  I would rather have them cancel than me.  Even if they do sail in November, I don't want to travel to the port, or have to concern myself with the requirements and restrictions.  I'm not opposed to the protocols--I've seen some YouTubes about sailing with them on MSC--I think they're good.  I just don't want to have to deal with them on a vacation.

So check the extended family cruise that as of right now on the Carnival Sunshine, 23 Nov 2020 from Charleston.  The cruise is block out, which I figure cause of reaching capacity especially on Thanksgiving Week.  So went back and look, and notice that look like every other cruise for the Sunshine is block out.

1. I am willing to give Carnival my full fare as an interest free loan, and have the money blocked for 8 months till my next Cruise.

2. I am not willing to risk losing that amount should Carnival file for chapter 11.

3. I am not going to go on The Cruise in November.

I want to book it only for the free 600 OBC.

it’s not as simple as giving carnival an interest free loan for $600. It’s a gamble of however much you spend on the cruise for a possible payoff of $600. But it’s definately a gamble, not a sure thing. As pointed out, you are gambling that 1. The November cruise you choose will be cancelled AND 2. You will find a cruise that does sail within the FCC rebook period that isn’t over priced by $600 AND 3. Carnival doesn’t declare bankruptcy in the meantime. I wouldn’t make that gamble. Only you can decide if it’s right for you.

Yeah, If I were you I would take all the precautions measures and avoid cruising right now. Just make sure there is nothing extraordinary going on in the world, like read the news and check out the news feed for the cruise and then book it safely. Hope you have a nice trip, take care!

I just checked our 12-13 sailing on the Breeze and it still shows up.  Looks like it's pretty full.  Still crossing fingers!!

My Nov 5 cruise is showing all kinds of open cabins. trying to figure out how to bump my category (currently 8M) to a suite, with out losing my casino perks

How can you tell it's pretty full? They only show a few rooms online at anytime.

Just answered my own question - lots of other sailings still available in Nov & Dec.

EDIT: but my cruise on Breeze, Southern Carib, is not available to book either, while other ones around it are still open.  Maybe also capacity limited?  Hmmm....

I am on this same cruise and my friend is as well and she just got a call from her travel agent that it’s canceled

Well, it is still showing up in my Cruise Manager.  Assuming you mean the 5 Dec 2020 Southern Carib cruise on Breeze.

But as we all know, it takes a day or two for such changes to percolate through "officially".  I guess we'll see.

Our January 2021 Panama Canal cruise out of Galveston is longer listed.

No longer listed in available sailings?  That might be because it has reached the nominal capacity limits that Carnival is supposedly working with.

Which ship?  Maybe with the Imagination apparently headed for the scrapyard, and possibly another one, there are dancing of ships being orchestrated.

If not listed in your cruise manager, that is a different, more ominous, sign.
