Number of Covered Bridges  out of interest

In the USA  about 12000

By State

Vermont  about 100
Maine about 120

New Hampshire   54

New York State 29

These numbers were from google search...

So it is one of those....lol     Cheers Don

Does the bridge in the photo have a red roof ???

Why Covered Bridges

To have somewhere to stand in the out of the rain

To give Tourists something to photograph

To look cool

To stop people in RV's crossing the bridge

To slow the bridge timbers rotting  / weathering.... to last longer
