Hopefully security would step in and make an example out of those that are giving the staff a hard time by escorting them away to their stateroom and kicking them off at the next port.  Then again it might make for some interesting entertainment at the expense of those not complying.

Which is exactly why I love sitting near the buffet, while never eating at it, but just for the pure "entertainment" value of watching grown adults act as if they have not eaten in a month.

Yeah, how much can someone load on one plate. 🤢But then that will probably be changing when/if cruising resumes.

And then when they only eat half of what they piled on their plates, which only an NFL 300 pound player could eat, they leave for someone else to clean up.  I think traditional buffet will be a thing of the past for a while, but as a result, I should get a reduced fare because then Celebrity will have taken one of the entertainment venues away from me. 🎂🍩🍕🍟🍔🥓🥐🍞🥞🧇🌭

... I think the screen name should be on the name tag as no one knows our given names.

If the Cruise Critic nametags are used (Download and print our Meet & Mingle Nametags) you fill in just your member name, just your real name or both. It is your choice.

That issue has already been resolved. Richard Fain announced months ago that there would be no more self-serving in the buffets on any ships. The crew will plate up passengers food choices and then hand it to them. Hopefully this might stem a lot of the waste.

Sounds good in theory, practically , who knows ???

" Gimmee more xxx,  another scoop , and I'll have 3 xxx, oh, what the heck, I'll try the xxx " .

What the cruise line could do is use smaller plates.

Thanks for the reminder. I remember reading that on the RCI forum. Long over due, IMO (our). We aren't huge buffet fans but we like to get our occasional hamburger from the mask/pool grill and bring them into the OVC to eat. Get our beverage of choice and a dessert while we are in there.

You’re welcome. 😊

We aren’t buffet fans either. We've seen too way many scary situations in there!

”There's none so queer as folk” as our dear Welsh cruising friends used to say.
