phabric Posted November 16, 2020 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2020 I am thinking on taking the Canada/New England cruise - New York to Quebec Can you see land while you cruise? Which side of the ship is better?

Except in the St. Lawrence, not really. The entrance/exit from Saguenay is narrow with views on both sides. The ship travels at a slow speed during the Saguenay transit. Plenty of time to move around for views. Which side of the ship is better? Either is fine.
tailspintom Posted November 16, 2020 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2020 It really makes no difference. The cruise is good on any side. We have done it four times. We are targeting this cruise when we decide to resume.
mtnesterz Posted November 16, 2020 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2020 You might also consider the sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to Quebec. This usually sails in October when the fall colors are in.

It sails almost at the end of October and by then the fall colors are pretty much gone.

Apologies to the OP. Now that the Princess site is up, the cruise I was referring to is in July 24th, not October, but shows as, "Currently Not Available." Hope it works out so you can go! North was past peak.
Schonert Posted November 17, 2020 #9 Share Posted November 17, 2020 Any cruise that was scheduled to be more than 7 days is showing up as not available at the moment due to the CDC directives.

Peak color season is late September to mid October and varies each year.
