Not a fan of politicians, but someone has to take into account economic consequences of purely scientific decisions. The scientists might well shut down the world economy because economic consequences are out of their purview. Take Fauci for example.
 

Teams need both offense and defense. A good leader would listen to BOTH the medical experts AND the economists. But that’s just my opinion.
