Private wine tours from Livorno

Looking for recommendations for private wine tours from Livorno; we’ll be overnight in port . Thanks for any advice!

There is no telling what impact COVID will have on tours and tour companies (many will not even survive).   But RomeinLimo has always proven to be a decent company (often recommended here on CC) and they do offer a private wine tour: Wine Tour of Bolgheri - Livorno - Rome In Limo which goes to a terrific wine district.  That  being said (and in the interests of full disclosure) our own preference is to simply rent a car at Livorno and drive ourselves to the Chianti area (mostly along Route S222 (sometimes called the Chianti Wine Road) which runs between Florence and Siena.  If you have two full days in port I would consider not only renting a car but also spending the night in a nice B&B or Inn in that Chianti wine district.  There are many nice places to stay and some decent small restaurants (we again would need to wait and see what COVID changes).  If you would want to pursue renting your own car Sifracar.com (http://sifracar.com/home.htm?lingua=2) has always proven to be a decent rental company who will deliver right to the pier and allow you to drop the car at the pier upon return (assuming nothing has changed).   Keep in mind that while a private tour will cost you many hundreds or Euros a rental car will cost about 100 Euros.

Someone on our Roll Call set up a group wine tour through https://www.guidos-tours.com/.  It was fantastic.  We went to three wineries, had lunch and then made a brief stop in Pisa to take the obligatory picture.  It was a fabulous day and we still order wine from one of the wineries we visited.
