Don’t remember the name either.  She should be a crosswalk guard….

OMG -- that is exactly what I think every time I call and get her.  I imagine her as 100 years old and quite crabby and bossy at all times.  I feel bad about that visual - cause now it is going to be me soon.....

We recently got our first casino offer from Princess, a free inside, with Princess Plus, and so we booked a cabin for next year. We paid the taxes and port fees up front, along with the non-refundable deposit (which will be returned to us in OBC), So far, great!

When I looked at our invoice, I saw that it showed an outstanding balance. I asked the Casino booking agent about that and he said, not to worry, we will pay off that balance. But I forgot to ask when that would happen! Could anyone tell me when they pay off the balance, approximately? 30 days after booking; 30 days before sailing? Some other time?

It generally happens 30 - 45 days prior to the sailing but who knows how Covid may have changed this.  Just be careful if you use EZAir.  The first time I booked that on a "free" cruise I called the general Princess number because I could not add EZAir on my own.  They contacted the air department and they did something to allow me to book flexible air which needed to be paid in full.  Well whatever the air department did changed the status of the reservation and they were expecting the casino balance payable in full.  So I woke up the next morning to a cancellation notice for the cruise.  This time I called the casino reservation number and they were able to restore everything.  Lesson learned, never call the general number for updates to a "free" casino reservation!

***Also read the fine print, most offers are valid to be used on 3 different bookings.

You may  lose the Casino Free Play after the first but the rest of the perks stay.

Happy Sailing!

We upgraded all our offers to a mini suite for a very reasonable cost.  Not sure if you knew that was an option.  I believe at this time final payment is due 60 days before sailing.  You’ll get reminders that you can ignore because you are not responsible for the difference but just keep an eye on your booking for a few days after final payment.

Hello all

I have a couple of quick questions please. Just got back from our first cruise with Princess, used to be mainly with HAL, and had heard good things about Princess!!  We enjoyed it!

Regarding Casino stateroom offers, I would love to be able to get them!

How soon after you get back do you typically receive any Casino offers and are they generally via snail mail?

From reading this thread, it looks like I may also be able to see offers by logging into their site?

And do they offer them even if you are typically a low-end gambler?  (spent about $200 over the course of the cruise).

Thanks so much for your advice and guidance.

I would not expect any really great offers at that level of gambling. Perhaps a discount of 15-35 % on a cabin

thank you

I am a low level gambler and for years have gotten the casino discount.  I have also been offered 1 or 2 free inside cabins but not able to take them.  Right now they are being nice and you also can book with free play of 200 to 500 per cruise.  Others may get more or less.  I never got free play prior to covid.  I am looking forward to using it soon.
