As many of you ; we can not wait to cruise again.

We have not cruised on Celebrity yet.

We usually cruise on Royal and do have OBC that are still pending due to our cruise being cancelled once again due to the pandemic.

We are both now fully vaccinated with Covid 19 vaccine and are ready to start booking.
We are looking at a southern Caribbean cruise leaving Puerto Rico. We love mid ship hump balcony rooms close to the elevators in between room floors to avoid noise from upper levels.

Looking for good recommendations on ships, floors and room numbers especially good sized balcony rooms.

Thanks to all in advance!🙂🙂

According to their website they do have ships leaving from P.R. in '23 .

I know that seems like far off but we are planners and for a long cruise we are ok waiting.

in the meanwhile we usually take shorter cruises from Florida.

You won’t need to choose between ships because only millennium will be sailing out of Puerto Rico. On this class of ship, the concierge rooms are about 10% larger than the other balcony rooms. I would never look at a concierge class state room on an S class ship or an E class ship but on an end class ship, it might make sense for you to look at concierge.

On these ships the aft balconys are wonderful.   They have historically been concierge class sub category C1 but are in the process of being reclassified as Sunset Veranda SV (Orange on the deck plan).   They don't seem to have completed this on the San Juan sailings yet but you might want to call and ask how you can book.  The room is large like the other concierge rooms and the balcony is huge about 20' deep.  They are on deck 7, 8, 9 but avoid deck 9 if possible.

We tried Royal once and never went back.

"Nation of Why Not," was their slogan at the time.

"Can you fix the shower? No? Why not."

"Can we exchange this wine bottle? No? Why not?"

No one had the authority to do anything for the passengers.

Celebrity, our best cruise experience.

Everyone made it their business to see passengers attended to.

You're in for a real step up! IMO

Totally worth the extra money.

We're booked for a B2B on RCI (our preferred cruiseline) March 2022 out of San Juan on Explorer...

We've done this itinerary a few times and excited to do it again moving up each time from JS's to GS's and now to an OS.

We have never had the bad experience the above poster has had after approx 30 cruises with them.

We've done X once for an amazing itinerary and thought we would give them another try and so booked the British Isles on Reflection in Dec 2019 for July 2021.

Right now not very happy that X isn't seeing that this cruise has a slim chance of sailing and seems to be wanting final payment before they cancel. This will be the deciding factor if I will book them again.

So OP you might want to look again at RCI where you can use your OBC.

Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

Because of the current administrations stance - maybe Fauchi is short selling cruise line stock - We're locked out of the US based ships cruise market.

For now.

NEWS FLASH:  Been locked out for over one year...

Hi, wrk2cruise, why do you say avoid deck 9 on the aft balconies? I just booked on Summit for fall, 2022 and got one of the ones you mentioned on deck 9, over another one available on deck 7.

Deck 7 has cabins above and below you.   Actually the PH is on deck 6 below and you have a view of about 1/10th of their huge balcony!   Deck 9 has the aft oceanview bar above you and you may hear people dragging chairs around.   I'd personally recommend deck 7 although deck 8 is my personal preference.  If the guitar player is playing in the aft oceanview bar in the evening you can hear it on all levels.   Star gazing from these balconys is also wonderful.
