The Cheers offer we got was not a great one (ocean view or higher cabin). I should say it is not terrible compared to like early saver pricing but when I look at the difference between it and casino offers there's quite a difference. I never get casino offers, but I bet it has a lot to do with me never going into the casino. 1
urbanhawk Posted May 5, 2021 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2021 I know what you mean. When I was working, and had "disposable income", I had limited vacation time. Now that I'm retired, I have all the "vacation time" ( !), one could ask for, but don't have the disposable income for all these offers!!!

I get on the ship and very seldom spend more than $300 after fare including tips. I wonder if Carnival will just stop making me offers one day and class me in a group of cannot make enough money off them.
kwokpot Posted May 5, 2021 #7 Share Posted May 5, 2021 (edited) We have three cruises booked, all fully comped from Casino offers. Mardi Gras in April '22 in a Cloud9 Spa Balcony!!!. A B2B on the Pride next year in Europe for a total of 21 days on the ship. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the same Balcony cabin for both cruises but got the next best thing, the cabin next door. Was able to book the Pride on an Elite comp. Edited May 5, 2021 by kwokpot

The one good thing about no cruising and all this covid crap is I haven't been using much vacation time (nothing to do! LOL) and my best offers are for next year. Come January I'll have quite a bit saved up but it don't take long when you want to go on 4 or 5 week or longer cruises to burn through it. Djptcp Posted May 5, 2021 #12 Share Posted May 5, 2021 With the free balcony cabin offer I got a 7-day Pride cruise for only $490 total plus $200 free play and free drinks in the casino. That offer is good for 7 months in 2022 and it took me awhile to find a cruise out of Tampa or Port Canaveral as the balcony and suite cabins were already booked. Finally found the Pride one we booked. We live 45 minutes from the Port of Tampa. So many offers, but we already had 5 cruises booked, 1 on Carnival and 4 on Holland America. The Pride cruise will bring us within 6 days of becoming Diamond and we will become 4* Mariners on Holland in 2022. Now we just need to start cruising again!!

I'll wait for Carnival to start sailing again before I book anything.

With the ones you have I don't blame you on waiting. I would too on those ones. I will be booking under a couple of the free offers I have though. Feel good enough about it being well over a year away and not much money involved.

I don't have to worry since I'm not working, I have unlimited time. My husband has his time stockpiled too. We have a road trip for August, cruise this Sept., February 2022 & October 2022. I keep checking my offers to see where I can fit another one.

Click on it and it should take you to all the terms of the offer, which should just how many times it can be used. Having said that a few of the offer terms doesn't specify. In that case you would have to call.

I have the lowest free cruise offer, the jackpot inside, and it looks like only short cruises or the pride transatlantic. Also I don't know why they are advertising mine as a free cruise since it is a $100 cruise with $100 pp non refundable obc.

Next one is an Ultra - "free drinks" only in the casino while playing. I've got $500 freeplay. I'll probably milk that as long as possible for the drinks benefit. Or just put in all on black and see what happens (then WALK)! lol Tom

Djptcp Posted May 5, 2021 #24 Share Posted May 5, 2021 I posted a little while ago that we booked a 7-day on the Pride with the free balcony offer and just booked the 6-day Pride cruise that leaves the day the 7-day returns. Same cabin. We have free laundry so we don't have to bring double clothes. This will be our first BTB cruises and will be Diamonds on the second one. Woo Hoo!

Well since you get the $100pp back in OBC, that's ostensibly a 'free' cruise. All Carnival casino offers have a minimum $100pp cost that's rebated back as OBC,even at the highest level.
