Half Moon Cay not included with Cheers Package?!

Hello,

 

I was reading an article that said even if you have the drink package with your cruise, you can not use it on Half Moon Cay. Is this true?

True.  States as much on the Carnival Cheers page.  My bold:

> Beverages promoted and sold in souvenir glasses

> Beverages offered through room service and/or other in-stateroom beverage programs

> Beverages purchased off the ship at any port of call, including Princess Cays and Half Moon Cay

its been that way for as long as I can remember. it would be nice if they could change it up but I completely understand why they don't

Not good at Harvest Cay either.  NCL drinks package also doesn't  include bottled water or espresso based drinks.

I may or may not have seen people order an extra beer or three on days when they are on the ship and then bring onto HMC in their collapsible cooler.

Just checked for my two cruises (December 2021 and July 2022) and it says the same. 

Hmm....

I would suggest printing that out, and including the web headers on the page, so it shows the date printed.

Why? It won't matter. The cruise planner doesn't supercede the rules.

This is my plan. Bring a small cooler, collect a few beers the day before.

Half Moon Cay is one of those places so amazing that I don't want to even drink a drop.  The casino, on the other hand...

So do you have to have cash or credit to buy food and drinks on the island or will your sail& sign card work over there on HMC?  It would be nice just to be able to charge stuff to the ship account.

The only place that takes cash are the vendor stalls near the entrance. Your Sail & Sign card is used for anything else. 😎

They are at Great Stirrup Cay, or at least were in 2018.
